Karyen Chu is an economist at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation where she performs econometric modeling in support of the FDIC’s fair lending and compliance activities and conducts research on consumer finance issues. Previously, Dr. Chu was a health policy researcher at Mathematica Policy Research, where she worked extensively with many large national health surveys. Dr. Chu received a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
