November 24, 2008 - Alley Cat Allies Calls on Quantico Marine Base to End Feeding Ban, Trapping of Feral Cats.
Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for stray and feral cats, today urged officials at Quantico Marine Base in Quantico, VA to lift a feeding ban for feral cats who live on the base, and to end the 'catch and kill' initiative that has already resulted in at least 12 of the cats being turned in to the local animal shelter and another 10 cats missing. November 3, 2008 - Alley Cat Allies' Robinson Addresses International Conference on Best Way Forward for Feral Cats.
Cats and humans have shared a “special bond” for thousands for years, but some cats will continue to live their entire lives outside without ever becoming “companion animals,” according to a speech by Becky Robinson, president and co-founder of Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for stray and feral cats. October 3, 2008 - “Feline Frenzy”: Alley Cat Allies and Feral Cat Consortium Hold Spay/Neuter Day
Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for stray and feral cats, will join forces with Louisiana’s own Feral Cat Consortium on Sunday, October 5 for a “Feline Frenzy” Neuter Day. Caregivers will bring feral cats who will receive free spay and neuter services. May 22, 2008 • Alley Cat Allies Calls for Passage of New Jersey Anti-Freeze Bill
Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for stray and feral cats, today called for passage of legislation in the New Jersey State Senate (S.B. 979) that would require a “bittering agent” be added to antifreeze sold in the state, which would alter the taste and repel animals, including cats, from ingesting it.

March 12, 2008 Alley Cat Allies Expresses Outrage At Iowa Town's "Bounty" On Outdoor Cats
Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for stray and feral cats, today expressed outrage at program started by city officials in Randolph, Iowa to reduce the number of outdoor cats in the area by offering a $5 “bounty” to residents who trap a cat and bring it to a local veterinarian. All of the cats that are not subsequently “claimed” by owners are killed.
