How to Get Involved

If you live in Alexandria, Virginia, there are many things you can do to get involved and help cats:

Read about the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria’s TNR Program.

Attend a TNR workshop, in person or online.
Volunteer your time to help trap, transport, or hold cats (in traps!) overnight. Volunteers are always needed, and much appreciated! Call the AWLA Community Cat Helpline at 703-746-5581 or by email at TNR@AlexandriaAnimals.org to learn more and sign up.
Join Alley Cat Allies’ Feral Friends Network and become a valuable resource for TNR newcomers.

Alley Cat Allies is excited to announce that the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has adopted a new pro-Trap-Neuter-Return policy for feral cats. We are proud to be partnering with the AWLA as they embark on this new aspect of their important work for animals in Alexandria!
