An administrative law judge in the Texas State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) has denied Kristen Lindsey’s motion to dismiss the case that suspended her veterinary license. The Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners suspended Lindsey’s veterinary license in October 2015 after she posted a picture of herself on Facebook holding a cat by an arrow through the cat’s head and bragging about the kill.

Lindsey is appealing the license suspension, and the SOAH scheduled a hearing on the appeal for March 8 -10, 2016. Through a series of motions, Lindsey attempted to have the case dismissed before the hearing. After review, the administrative law judge chose to deny those motions. The hearing will proceed as scheduled.

Alley Cat Allies has been active in Lindsey’s case from the start, and offered testimony when the Board originally heard the case in August 2015. We will stay engaged as the case moves forward and keep you updated.

The hearing on the appeal will take place at 9 a.m. on March 8-10, 2016, at the State Office of Administrative Hearings, in the William P. Clements Building at 300 W. 15th St., Fourth Floor, Austin, Texas.
