Our Changing Communities for Cats Campaign is about transforming our shelters to make communities safe for cats. We’re touring the country, meeting with our supporters, and working to reform YOUR local shelter’s policies.

Trap-Neuter-Return in Alexandria, Virginia
Alley Cat Allies is excited to announce that the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has adopted a new pro-Trap-Neuter-Return policy for feral cats. We are proud to be partnering with the AWLA as they embark on this new aspect of their important work for animals in Alexandria!

Nationwide Spay Days 2013
Alley Cat Allies is sponsoring special Spay-A-Thons at three spay/neuter clinics in Nevada, Florida, and Maryland in March 2013 aimed at curbing “kitten season” for feral cats and education people about steps they can take to prevent the birth of litters of kittens in their own neighborhoods.

Veterinary Awareness Campaign
The veterinary community plays a unique and critical role in improving the lives of stray and feral cats, and are often the first place caring individuals turn to with questions ranging from the difference between stray and feral cats to making the right choices about their care. Alley Cat Allies has developed the Veterinary Awareness Campaign to help fill the void of information about feral cats directed toward the veterinary community.
